The jointed eggbutt bradoon is used to compliment a weymouth bit in a double bridle. Often used with a fixed weymouth, bradoons are also very useful to use for smaller heads or ponies as they are basically a jointed eggbutt with smaller rings
If using as a bradoon in a double bridle, it should generally be 1/4"- 1/2" bigger than the weymouth/normal bit size.
