At 11mm diameter the Hartwell mouthpiece is lightweight and has a generous forward curve and a 1/4" rise over the horses tongue.
One to use if the horse has gone relatively well in any of the weymouths with very little or no port. You are simply reducing the size of the bits in the mouth creating a forward curve to accommodate the shape of the tongue behind the bit and a small but not dramatic rise of the tongue in the middle and considerably. lightening the weight of the bits in the mouth.
